Showcasing Versatility:
Junior High Drill Team Dancer Photoshoot!!!
We recently had an incredible session with a talented Sweeny Friskies Drill Team dancer, where we explored multiple lighting styles to create a diverse set of images!
We shot some of the images with ethereal silhouette shots, playing with the lights to highlight movement and grace- we plan to incoporate this new lighting technique with next season's cheer, sports and even seniors. Then we shifted gears to edgy media-day inspired lighting, adding drama and intensity to capture her power and presence and showcase the dynamics of hours and hours of drill team practice. Finally we wrapped it up with some natural, soft headshots, bringing out her personality with a more classic portrait style.
This session was the perfect example of how lighting transforms an image, and we love using our photography knowledge to craft different moods and styles tailored to each subject.
And finally no shoot with Grace is left undone without adding in my 9 year old chicken named Olive. Its an inside joke because when Grace was about 6 or 7, we did a photo shoot with Grace in a floral swing holding Olive the chicken! Yes, Olive is still doing good and although she rarely lays eggs, she's living her best life just being a chicken!
Grace is my beautiful niece who is a 7th grader at Sweeny Junior High. I am very proud of this young lady!
