Senior Session Spotlight: A baseball pitcher & duck hunters shoot!
Some senior sessions are about more than just capturing a milestone-they tell a story. That was exactly the case with Jace, a talented baseball pitcher with a deep love for duck hunting. His session took us through a day of adventure, from battling harsh sunlight to wading through water, and finally ending under the stadium lights.
Chasing light and shadows-
We kicked things off in the midday sun- one of the toughest lighting situations we can face, but with the right angles, shadows and a little creativity we turned the harsh light in to a golden glow for shots with his truck, casuals and a college acceptance sign.
Next, we switched gears and headed to the duck blind, immersing in the world that Jace loves outside of baseball. Wading through the water, to get to the perfect spot and hunting blind, we captured the quiet patience and focus that make him not just a great athlete, but also a skilled hunter. The reflections on the water, the camouflage details, and the natural elements surrounding him created an authentic and personal touch to his senior portraits.
Under the stadium lights-
As the sun set and temperatures dropped, we wrapped up the session on the baseball field. The crisp night and glow of the field lights, and empty stands made for the perfect dramatic setting. Whether he was winding up for a pitch or leaning against the dugout fence, you could see the years of hard work behind every shot.
This session was more than just senior pictures-it was a visual representation of who Jace is. From the pitcher's mound to the duck blind, his story is one of dedication, patience and passion and it was an HONOR to capture it all!
Congratulations to this Industrial senior on his spring 2025 graduation and thank you Chaney family for having me shoot this session for Jace!
