This session will take you through various emotions and you'll see why after you view this gallery. For this Industrial senior's shoot, we got a variety of shots to capture Karson's interests. Karson is a lifter, so we went for a dark/moody/dramatic look for the weight room...contrasty with lights hitting him from different angles to get the look we were going for. We also got shots with his truck, some traditional shots of just him and shots at the stadium. Karson's Mom requested a few specific shots that included Coach Nicholson who is also Karson's Grandfather. Anyone who's been to the Industrial stadium has surely seen the sculpture of Coach Bobby Nicholson, who served as Head coach, principal and superintendent of Industrial and left a major impact on those he knew or taught including my own sons. It was an honor to create these shots for the VanPelt / Nicholson family. Through the help of local photographer Joe Smiga, he generously shared the original image he captured of Karson and his Grandfather When Karson was in 1st grade so we could create the image Karson's Mother wanted, an image of Coach Nicholson watching the game beside Karson present day.
The boys are knocking it out of the ballpark with their sessions for November - I love learning about who they are, what their interests are and creating memories for them. VanPelt family, thank you for choosing me to help create these memories for you!
